His lighting career started in Southern Ontario where he worked extensively with the A&D community and served on the board of the Ottawa Regional Society of Architects. Shortly after moving to Vancouver in 2006, he sat on the board of the IES Vancouver Section and held many roles before becoming President. He also holds a position as an Advisory Member of the IES Office Library Education Lighting Committee, helping research and develop best practices for lighting office and institutional spaces.
